Android App Development
Native Android Interfaces|Resilient Field Workflows|Managed Device Delivery
Sphere 10 develops Android applications for consumer products, business teams and dedicated devices. We combine a Kotlin interface with the integration, local data and backend engineering needed to keep the application useful across the devices and network conditions in your operating environment.
Build for the Actual Device Fleet
Jetpack Compose supports a modern native interface, while existing Android Views or vendor SDKs can be retained where appropriate. We agree the phones, tablets, rugged devices or kiosk hardware that matter to the project. Screen sizes, scanners, cameras and manufacturer-specific capabilities are tested on that fleet rather than inferred from a single emulator.
The architecture separates screen state from repositories and network/device services. Lifecycle-aware work avoids retaining an Activity after its screen has closed. We define what must survive process death and which background jobs can be deferred within Android scheduling constraints.
Integrate Through Clear Services
ASP.NET Core services provide shared validation, authorization and integration with business records. On the client, Room/SQLite and WorkManager are considered where local records and scheduled retry work are required. A queued action carries a stable identity, so reconnecting after a timeout does not create a duplicate order, inspection or upload.
Sphere10 Framework supplies typed serialization, application composition and data-access mechanisms for our .NET supporting systems. Those components are distinct from the Kotlin UI and Android lifecycle. The application contract makes that boundary explicit, allowing mobile releases and backend changes to be tested independently.
Handle Permissions and Device Policy
Release With a Testable Upgrade Path
We deliver the Android Studio project, application signing/release configuration and agreed Google Play or managed distribution workflow. Acceptance includes clean install, update with existing local data, process recreation, long-running uploads and the actual device integrations. We review current target-platform and submission requirements at release time instead of hard-coding a policy version into the product plan. The handover includes supported-device information, failure diagnostics and service/API ownership so support teams can distinguish an app issue from a backend or device-management problem.
