App Store Packaging & Publishing
Reproducible Release Builds|Signed Distribution|Managed Release Channels
Sphere 10 turns a working application into a controlled release. We prepare the platform packages, signing configuration, store materials and release process needed to distribute it through the agreed stores or managed channels, with ownership of the publisher account kept clear.
Choose the Release Channel
We establish whether the product belongs in Microsoft Store, Apple App Store, Google Play, a managed enterprise catalogue or direct download. That determines package identity, signing, entitlement and update requirements. We review the current submission requirements for the selected channel and identify the account access, privacy information, assets and third-party dependencies that the owner must supply.
The release plan distinguishes an executable, an installer and a store submission. Windows MSIX, Android app bundles, Apple archives and Linux packages have different build and runtime expectations. We do not describe a portable archive as notarized or assume store acceptance before review.
Package With Runtime Behaviour in Mind
Our AutoMouse repository documents an actual self-contained single-file .NET publish, with ReadyToRun, compression, external help content and measured distribution/startup trade-offs. It explicitly leaves NativeAOT and trimming disabled for that WinForms application. This is useful release experience: smaller downloads, lower startup memory and easier installation are separate engineering objectives.
Local Notion provides a second reference with platform-specific archives, checksums and retained version directories. For your product we define which assets belong inside the package, which remain beside it and which user data must survive updates. Build numbers, application identity and dependency versions are recorded reproducibly.
Prepare the Submission
Handover Includes Recovery
Acceptance covers a clean installation, update over the previous release, retained preferences and a documented rollback or recovery route. We verify that packaged help, native libraries and content are available on a machine without developer tooling. Your team receives the release scripts, account-responsibility checklist and submission record, including any review feedback. Ongoing release execution can then be managed under an agreed operating arrangement rather than relying on one developer workstation.
