WinForms, WPF and Avalonia UI
Productive Desktop Interfaces|Existing Application Modernisation|Responsive Data Screens
Sphere 10 builds and modernises desktop interfaces for people who spend their working day in an application. We choose WinForms, WPF or Avalonia around the existing code, target operating systems, control requirements and cost of maintaining the finished product.
Choose Continuity or a New Surface
WinForms is effective for established Windows business applications with mature controls and designer-based screens. WPF suits Windows interfaces that benefit from XAML, data templates and richer composition. Avalonia is a separate choice when a shared desktop interface must reach macOS and Linux as well. We assess migration screen by screen rather than treating a toolkit change as permission to discard a working workflow.
We preserve keyboard navigation, data-entry shortcuts, printing and the detail that makes an existing product productive. New view models and application services are introduced where they create a cleaner boundary, while a staged migration keeps useful screens operating.
Depth in Windows Application Infrastructure
Sphere10 Framework includes a substantial WinForms library: typed CrudGrid bindings, validation, reference editors, paging and per-user settings, plus shared application blocks and screen hosts. Its IDataSource contract separates record operations from the grid. Our AutoMouse product is another concrete reference for native input integration, remembered preferences, tray behaviour and monitor-aware desktop work.
These are specific Windows capabilities. We reuse the appropriate domain and service layers in WPF or Avalonia, then select controls and bindings for that toolkit. We do not promise to transplant WinForms controls into a cross-platform host.
Keep the Interface Responsive
Accept the Daily Workflow
We deliver the interface projects, bindings, reusable controls and migration plan with representative test data. Acceptance follows complete operator tasks, including a failed save, an interrupted refresh and a close with unsaved changes. We measure actual screen responsiveness and inspect layout at the agreed DPI settings. The result includes documented ownership of background tasks and subscriptions so a screen can be reopened repeatedly without accumulating stale handlers, resources or hidden work.
